A Long Walk to Water

We just finished reading the book "A Long Walk to Water" in Mr.Croy's class. At first, I thought that the book dragged on. Throughout the book there are good and bad parts, but in my opinion the book was overall pretty good.

My favorite part in this book was Salva reunited with his father. I also really liked when Nya and Salva met each other. Another thing I like about "A Long Walk to Water'' is that it conveys a good message about how you shouldn't take anything for granted.

Argument Hooks

I am writing an argument for Mr. Croy's class and my topic is that peer pressure is more useful than harmful.

I am going to try out a couple different types of hooks. Let me know which one you like the best.

1. Ancedote-  My cousin had a great amount of peer pressure while she was in school, and all of that peer pressure pushed her to become a lawyer that graduated from Harvard Law School. Peer Pressure is more useful than her, maul.

2. A Surprising Fact-  54% of teenagers also agree that peer pressure can be positive.

3. A Rhetorical Question- Would you like to have the peer pressure to better yourself ?

4. Quote-    To be continued......

Argument Topic for Mr.Croy's Advanced ELA

For my argument  in Mr. Croy's 7th grade advanced ELA class, I have chosen the topic "Peer preasure is more useful than harmful,".

The reason I chose to write about this topic is because I feel like peer pressure can teach people  how to say no, and motivates students to be better versions of themselves.

Hello World!

My name is Chloe. I am new to blogging and blogger.

My ELA teacher Mr.Croy would like us to create this blog to write about stuff we're learning about in class.

I am  a little bit confused, but I'll get the hang of it!
