I would like to have the character trait of William that he never gave up hope. When Ben was lost and everyone thought that Ben was dead and stopped looking for him, William kept looking and pushing everyone else to look. This character trait would really help me in school when work gets tougher. It would also help me at home when/if something bad happens.
A possible theme of Incident at Hawk's Hill is never take what you have for granted because you never realize what you have until you've lost it. I think that this is the theme because before Ben got lost, everybody called him abnormal and made fun of him for loving animals. And then after Ben wandered away, everyone was sad and freaking out because everyone thought that he died. Also, when Ben was lost he had to fend for himself so he really took everything he had before for granted.

I am starting to really like Incident at Hawk's Hill. It's getting a lot more interesting and I'm excited to see what happens next. For my career letter, I have finally found a person to write to and he is a very successful anesthesiologist. I'm really looking forward to go to Cedar Point on May 25th, and for the end of the year to come.

In Mr. Croy's class we're going to write letters to a person that works in the field that we one day want to go into. I don't know who I am going to write to yet, but I know some of the occupations that I'll be looking for. Some of the occupations I would want to go into include: Anesthesiology, a pediatrician, or a biomedical engineer.

Today we read an article in Newsela that was about fake news. The article was about how easy it is for people to believe fake news, how easy it is to come up with fake news, and how to tell the difference between real in fake news. Today we also read a play called "War of Worlds". The play was about an alien invasion. After reading the play we discovered that when the play first came out, it was read on the radio like it was a real interview, and many people were freaking out because they thought that there was a real alien invasion. I can connect the play states that fake news is easy to believe and hard to differ from real news, and the play gives an example of this when people started to believe that there was an alien invasion just because it was on the radio. I can also connect the Newsela article to real life. One way the article can be connected to real life is when the presidential election was going on. There was fake news about both candidates that many people would believe.
